Daniel "Limmy" Lim
Director
Daniel "Limmy" Lim is a Gen Z documentarian and education creator with 750k+ followers. His videos have helped thousands of students navigate admissions and mental health. He has produced over a thousand videos on social media about various college application profiles as well as helpful tips on the college application process.This documentary is the culmination of three years of student interviews, research, and emotional DM’s from kids desperate to get in.

Producer/Co-director
Jude Weng is a director with nearly 100 episodes of television to her name, along with her feature debut Finding ‘Ohana, which remains in the top 10% of most-watched films on Netflix since its 2021 release. She brings decades of experience in both scripted and unscripted storytelling, and is deeply committed to mentoring emerging voices. Jude approaches each project with cinematic vision and a passion for creating stories that resonate with international audiences.

Producer
Juliana Kim is a showrunner, producer, writer, and director with 20 years of experience in non-fiction television. Her wide-ranging credits include transformation shows, competition franchises, social experiment formats, and cultural documentaries that have aired on all major broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms. With a unique background in law and the non-profit, public interest sector, Juliana has earned a reputation as a storyteller who amplifies and elevates original voices and bold ideas.

Line Producer
Lina Wong has produced nearly 150 episodes of television and over a dozen TV movies. Throughout her career Lina has used her voice to advocate increased diversity in the film & television industry, creating opportunities for young women of color in the industry while personally stewarding projects that showcase the dynamic storytelling prowess of underrepresented communities. Never wishing to limit the range of stories she’s allowed to tell, Lina’s projects span multiple genres including comedy, drama, slapstick and bio pic. Titles such as "Grown-ish”, “Married”, “Whitney Houston Story”, and“Interior Chinatown”.

Editor
Chester Contaoi is an Emmy and ACE Award nominated editor with a career spanning documentary, unscripted, and scripted projects. He’s collaborated with top-tier talent including Oprah Winfrey, Dwayne Johnson, Eva Longoria, and LeBron James. Chester brings creative intuition and emotional storytelling in the edit bay. A first-generation college graduate and proud father to a son headed to college, he’s passionate about mentorship and sees both storytelling and education as tools for generational change.

Cinematographer
Anton Lorimer is an award winning cinematographer who sees his work as a reflection of the people and subjects he chases and documents around the world. He values passion for what they do, who they are or what they value and tries to capture that. His style incorporates a cinematic feel in all of his films with a sense of movement, pace and unique perspective. This approach enhances the story by creating a feeling, a mood or an experience.

About the Film
A vérité-style documentary following 16 diverse, ambitious high school seniors as they navigate the absurdity, crisis moments and emotional toll of elite college admissions. Woven throughout the documentary are interviews with acclaimed authors, admissions officers, and parents.
Synopsis
This documentary takes audiences deep inside the chaotic, high-stakes world of college admissions by chronicling 16 high school seniors across the U.S. and abroad. From the moment they begin their college applications in August to decision day in May, the documentary captures every twist, from parental tension and peer competition to midnight breakdowns and moments of joy or despair.
Intercut with interviews from former admissions officers, education experts, and cultural critics, the film confronts the classism, opacity, and emotional cost embedded in the current system. This four-quadrant documentary challenges institutions while comforting the very students and families it depicts.
