Nine months. Sixteen students. One broken system.
Synopsis
This documentary takes audiences deep inside the chaotic, high-stakes world of college admissions by chronicling 16 high school seniors across the U.S. and abroad. From the moment they begin their college applications in August to decision day in May, the documentary captures every twist—parental tension, peer competition, midnight breakdowns, and moments of joy or despair.
Intercut with interviews from former admissions officers, education experts, and cultural critics, the film confronts the classism, opacity, and emotional cost embedded in the current system.
